Abstract
ITHIN recent years the trend in fishery biology has been toward Vfish management, with particular emphasis on lake improvement. Construction and artificial fertilization of lakes and ponds and selected planting of various species of fish are giving investigators some idea of the specific requirements of each species. To make an analysis of the influence of various factors in the environment upon its fish population, it is necessary to study the rate of growth of a species in one environment, and then to make comparisons with the same species under another set of conditions.
