Allyn Rosser (bio) Normally he wouldn’t keep looking.It was an unusually flat piece of paperfor litter, and the wind toyed with itin an uncommonly conscious mannersending it from sidewalk to street tosidewalk, flipping it first flat on itsprinted face, then its blank back,hesitating and lifting it again, thenactually spinning it on edge like a blockywheel for several revolutions, twiceeven raising it several feet as ifabout to lift the words seventeen storiesso he could read them. From his windowhe wished he could just run out thereand grab the sheet, see what it said.Actually one couldn’t really be surefrom this distance there was anythingwritten on it, but he was surehe desperately needed to read it,that it would explain what he was doinghere, too many flights up to find out.
