Abstract

The aim of the work is to analyze the main problems of foreign students learning Ukrainian medical terminology, the difficulties of studying the phenomena of terminological ambiguity, synonymy, homonymy, and the like. The study used linguistic methods, including component, definition and comparative analysis, which allow to form a set of problematic issues for the study of Ukrainian medical terminology by a foreign student audience. Scientific novelty. For the first time, the study of the medical terminology of foreign students from Bukovinsky Medical University was considered. This problem, as well as, in general, the methodology of teaching Ukrainian as a foreign language, is still poorly handled, since the questions of streamlining Ukrainian terminology remain the subject of constant discussions and discussions. Findings. In scientific research, the problem questions of the study of Ukrainian medical terminology by foreign students are considered. In particular, attention was focused on the fact that foreign students experience the greatest difficulties due to ambiguity, synonymy, homonymy, paronymy of the Ukrainian medical dictionary, metaphor and the like.
