Abstract
The research aims to identify the problems facing public school teachers for basic education (the first episode) in applying distance education in light of the (Covid 19) pandemic in Al Dakhiliyah Governorate in the Sultanate of Oman. The study tool consisted of a questionnaire that included six axes represented in (problems related to the educational system, the technical aspect and networks, the teachers’ experiences, the implementation of the school curriculum, students, and parents), and the results showed that the problems related to the system The educational program obtained a degree of applicability (high) with an arithmetic mean (3.68) and a standard deviation (1.09), and that the problems related to the technical side and networks obtained a degree of applicability (very high) with an arithmetic mean (4.51) and a standard deviation (0.69). ), and that problems related to female teachers’ experiences in distance education obtained a (high) applicability degree with an arithmetic mean (3.84) and a standard deviation (0.94), and that problems related to the implementation of the school curriculum obtained a (high) applicability degree with an arithmetic mean (4 ,02) and standard deviation (0.993), and that For problems related to students, a degree of applicability was obtained (very high) with an arithmetic mean (4.25) and a standard deviation (0.93), and the problems related to parents obtained a (very high) degree of applicability with an arithmetic mean (4.30) and a standard deviation (0.878). ), and that there are no statistically significant differences in the problems facing public school teachers for basic education (first cycle) in applying distance education in light of the (Covid 19) pandemic in Al Dakhiliyah Governorate in the Sultanate of Oman attributed to the qualification variable, practical experience, and job title, with the exception of the second axes. And the third (problems related to the educational system, and problems related to the teachers’ experiences), where there were statistically significant differences at the level of significance (0.05) attributed to the educational qualification variable in favor of the qualification less than a master’s
