Abstract

Female sexual dysfunction (FSD) is an often common problem with significant effects on women's quality of life. The purpose of this study was designed to assess the prevalence of sexual dysfunction among Arab women living in Saudi Arabia, little studies and data has focused on this field in Arabian countries especially gulf region. The cross-sectional study was done during the year 2016 between March and September, including 310 married active women who are 19-50 years old live in Saudi Arabia, among 325 married females, 15 female refuse to complete study or did not include appropriate criteria of the study. The study population was recruited among women attending Motmaena psychiatric center in Riyadh city. The respondents who consented to take part in the study from different Arab countries are live in Saudi Arabia as (Yemen - Syria - Lebanon - Morocco - Egypt) and were available face to face to complete answers (the Brief Sexual Symptom Checklist for women) to assess sexual satisfaction and desire, genital sensation, vaginal lubrication, orgasmic dysfunctions, and pain during sex.
