Abstract

The development of urban agglomeration and transport systems contributes to an increase in road transport of goods and passengers, which, in turn, leads to an increase in negative impacts on the ecological situation of the urban environment. Conflicts between transport, in particular motor transport, and the environment are very serious and have been increasing for many years, with every car produced. In this paper, a quality indicator is proposed for consideration, which will be closely related to ecology, and which can be improved with the use of traffic management tools. This indicator is the speed of movement. Keywords: ecology, road transport, emissions, traffic management, dedicated lanes, modernization
