Abstract

Women with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCO) have an increased ovarian responsiveness to exogenous recombinant follicle stimulating hormone (rFSH); it is unknown how obesity may affect FSH absorption and response in the context of PCO. The objective of this study was to compare pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic responses to rFSH between lean and overweight/obese PCO subjects and age and BMI-matched normo-ovulatory controls.
