Abstract

Abstract It was found that roomlight accelerates the formation of phthalocyanine in the reaction of phthalonitrile with sodium alkoxide at elevated temperatures. Moreover, UV irradiation gave phthalocyanine even at room temperature where no formation of phthalocyanine was observed without light.
