Abstract
The year 2015 marks the 50th anniversary of the Paris Conference, “La Radiothérapie de la Maladie de Hodgkin.” This meeting, devoted to Hodgkin disease, was held at the Hôpital Saint Louis on February 15, 1965. It was organized by Maurice Tubiana and George Mathé and hosted by Jean Bernard. It marked a turning point in the management of Hodgkin disease, beginning its transformation from a highly fatal disease into one that is now almost 90% curable. At this meeting there were important contributions to our basic understanding of the pathology, staging, and treatment of Hodgkin disease.
