Abstract

Two years ago, I described our plans for a Modern Language Center in the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (“Language Centers Today and a New Modern Language Center at OISE”, Canadian Modern Language Review, Vol. XXV, No. 2, January 1969, p. 9-2 1). As readers will have seen from the issue of the Review which appeared last June, (Canadian Modern Language Review, Vol. XXVI, No. 4, June 1 970, p. 65), the Center is now established in its own quarters in the new building of OISE. It is perhaps, therefore, an opportune moment for making known to readers the range of activities in which the Modern Language Center is at present engaged. This can most easily be done by reproducing the content of a folder describing the scope, work and staffing of the Modern Language Center. Single or multiple copies of this folder can be obtained (free of charge) by writing or phoning Mrs. Stella Lord, Senior Secretary, Modern Language Center, at 252 Bloor Street West, Toronto 1 8 1 , Ontario, Canada, Tel. 923-664 1, Ext. 64 1, 642.
