Abstract

ABSTRACT The modified ends-fed dipole-like antenna that is fed by a hybrid ring is dwelt upon in this paper. The two energized ports of the hybrid ring provide simultaneous sum and difference radiation patterns. A printed circuit board prototype was simulated through the full-wave solver “CST Studio Suite” and successfully implemented. The measured results confirm the proposed approach. The input reflection coefficient for both the ports and isolation between them are better than (−15) dB. The proposed antennas can easily be integrated with monolithic electronic circuits and may find applications in high-frequency devices including wireless communication systems, radars, and so on.
