Abstract

The CHOOZ experiment is measuring the neutrino flux from two nuclear reactors at a distance of 1 km. The aim is to search for possible ν e → ν x oscillations in a region of parameters ( Δm 2 ≥ 10 −3eV 2 at full mixing) where hints at neutrino oscillations come from the measurement of the atmosferic neutrino flux. A short description of the status of the experiment (data taking and physics analysis) is given.
