Abstract
The national economy constitutes that fundamental social value which is protected against the offenses of production or putting into circulation of counterfeit currency signs or securities (art. 236 of the Criminal Code). This social value includes the totality of economic activities such as the production, consumption, distribution and exchange of goods, services and works, which take place within the territory of the Republic of Moldova. The social relations regarding the legal circulation of currency signs, securities, cards or other payment instruments form the legal object of the subgroup of offenses provided for in art. 236 of the Criminal Code.
