Abstract

Dimensions of university engineering education in China have been enlarged continuously, teaching conditions have been improved a lot, and international consciousness has been strengthened since reform and open policy was implemented in China. Meanwhile, university engineering education in China has been confronted with many problems: a lack of decision-making power of universities and students' ability to think independently, more attention to the theory rather than practice in the evaluation system, the decrease of talent training caused by large scale of enrollment, etc. How to cultivate talent becomes top priority that educational circle and business circle should pay attention to.
