Abstract

The paper proposes a model and analysis of spherical-cymbal piezoelectric transducer. First, we select materials for force-sensitive element, the metal end cap and ring and epoxy resin. The load transfer law of the spherical-cymbal piezoelectric transducer is analyzed. Then, resonant frequency test, axial vibration displacement test and ultimate static pressure test are implemented in experiment. The experimental results show that the spherical-cymbal piezoelectric transducer outperforms the traditional cymbal piezoelectric transducer. This paper is conducted to provide new insight into the design of cymbal piezoelectric transducer.
