Abstract

An algorithm of the method of multilevel moments with multiplicative correction (MoMM-M) is presented, which may be degenerated to some special forms corresponding to the spatial decomposition technique and the modified diakoptic theory. This method possess much higher computational efficiency than the conventional MoM scheme. The approximate moment solution in N-dimensional function space is improved by multiplying the expansion coefficients with some undetermined correctors in a lower-dimensional function space, in order to determine these correctors, the method of moments in the second level is adopted. If the solution of the correctors in the second level is also approximate, the method of moments in the third level can be used to correct the second one, and so on. This new method is suitable for solving the large set of linear equations derived from the electromagnetic problems for a large structure or a multielement structure. Numerical results verify the high computational efficiency of the MoMM-M. >
