Abstract
It is shown that cell walls, which form in response to plastic deformation, can be of either pure grain boundary or dipole character, or a combination of the two. In addition, it is further demonstrated that all such cell wall types are basically dipole in nature, and thus possess essentially he same energy. The detailed geometry of the walls in turn depends upon their deformation history.
