Abstract
Methods and instruments are described for determining the upward acceleration of a flame front in a vertically suspended fabric. The phenomenon of flame propagation is analyzed. Analysis of experimental results would indicate that the upward acceleration of flame front is a useful measure of the relative flammability hazard of textiles.
