Abstract

The errors in coupling constants measured from peak positions in two-dimensional J spectra of homonuclear and heteronuclear systems are discussed for absolute-value and phase-sensitive spectra. The phase-sensitive cross section is shown to give the most accurate results and the equivalence of the phase correction of such cross sections and of conventional Fourier transform spectra is demonstrated.
