Abstract
AbstractAfter the independence of Armenia following the disintegration of the USSR in 1991, most of hitherto closed archive materials became accessible for wide scholarship. This paper is an attempt to present a statistical analysis of the data concerning the Armenian migrants from Iran during a mass repatriation in 1946-1947. It is based mainly on the archive documents preserved in the Armenian National Archives in Yerevan. The paper provides detailed information on various demographical parameters of the repatriates including gender, age, profession, marital status, education level, employment, and literacy.
