The Management of the Tahfidz al-Qur’an Flagship Program: Strengthening Qur’anic Literacy at MI Taufiqiyah Semarang
This study aims to analyze the management of the flagship tahfidz al-Qur’an program in strengthening Qur’anic literacy at MI Taufiqiyah Semarang. The research employs a qualitative approach with a case study design, utilizing interviews, observations, and documentation as data collection techniques. Data were analyzed using the interactive model of Miles and Huberman, which consists of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, while validity was ensured through source and technique triangulation. The findings indicate that the strengthening of Qur’anic literacy is not solely determined by the tahfidz instructional method, but rather by the consistent implementation of management functions, including needs-based planning, competency-based organizing, gradual instructional implementation, and tiered as well as continuous evaluation. This managerial system contributes to improving students’ Qur’anic literacy quality, particularly in terms of reading fluency, accuracy of makhraj (articulation points), and the habituation of muroja’ah (systematic review). Theoretically, this study contributes by proposing an empirical model of tahfidz program management grounded in Qur’anic literacy at the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah level, thereby extending the discourse of Islamic educational management from a predominantly administrative orientation toward strengthening religious literacy outcomes.

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the management function of Planning, Organizing, Actuating, and Controlling (POAC) in the management of the Muhammadiyah Student Association (IPM) program and its contribution to strengthening the character of progressive Islamic values-based students at SMA Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta. Research on religious-based student organizations has tended to focus on ideological regeneration and religious activities, while studies that integrate modern management functions with the formation of student character are still relatively limited. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study design. The research informants amounted to nine people consisting of the principal, vice principal for student affairs, HDI coaches, administrators, and members of the HDI who were selected purposively. Data collection was carried out through participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Data analysis uses the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña which includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing with validity tests through source triangulation, technique triangulation, and member checking. The results of the study show that HDI management has implemented the POAC management function systematically through participatory planning, formal organizational structures, implementation of value-based programs, and continuous reflective evaluation. The findings of the research resulted in a values-based student organizational management model that integrates modern management principles with progressive Islamic values in strengthening the humanist character of students. Theoretically, this research contributes to the development of the concept of value-based educational management, especially in the management of religious-based student organizations. Practically, this study provides a reference for schools in managing student organizations as a medium for fostering leadership and character.

This study addresses the issue of inadequate internalization of civic values in Civic Education (Pendidikan Pancasila dan Kewarganegaraan or PPKn) at the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) level, which remains dominated by conventional and less contextual teaching methods. The research aims to examine the effectiveness of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model in fostering students’ civic attitudes through PPKn instruction. Employing a qualitative approach with a case study design, this study was conducted at an MI in Kendari City. The informants consisted of PPKn teachers and upper-grade students. Data were collected through participant observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, with validity ensured through source and technique triangulation. The results reveal that the implementation of PjBL significantly enhances students’ sense of responsibility, cooperation, tolerance, and social awareness. These findings contribute to the theory of experiential civic education and offer practical implications for developing more transformative, contextual, and student-centered PPKn learning in primary Islamic schools.

This study aims to describe the implementation of the Outcome-Based Education Curriculum (OBE) in the development of the Islamic character of students of the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Teacher Education Study Program (PGMI) at UIN Jurai Siwo Lampung. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data was collected through in-depth interviews with PGMI study program leaders and lecturers, observation of the learning process, and analysis of curriculum documents, which included Graduate Learning Outcomes (CPL), Semester Learning Plans (RPS), and assessment instruments. Data analysis was carried out thematically with data reduction techniques, data presentation, and a conclusion drawn, and validated through triangulation of sources and techniques. The study reveals that the OBE curriculum in the PGMI program has successfully integrated Islamic character values, faith (tawḥīd), morality (akhlāq), and social responsibility into graduate learning outcomes and active learning strategies. However, implementation remains suboptimal due to uneven faculty understanding of the OBE paradigm and a lack of standardized instruments for measuring affective and spiritual growth. This research concludes that while OBE effectively fosters 21st-century skills aligned with Islamic values, its success in character building fundamentally requires systematic enhancement of lecturer capacity and the development of structured, contextual assessment tools.
