Abstract

ABSTRACT The leaf essential oil of Angasomyrtus salina, isolated in 0.3% yield on a fresh weight of leaves, contained α-pinene (77–83%) as its major component. Over 80 other components were present in the oil in amounts of 3% or less. The significant compounds were campholenic aldehyde (1%), 1,8-cineole (0.1–1.0%), β-pinene (1–2%) and bicyclogermacrene (1–3%).
