Abstract
Some tests on the accuracy of simple interpolation routines applied to cryogenic resistance thermometer calibrations are described. Interpolation accuracy is found to be limited almost entirely by experimental scatter in the original calibration. When only a small number of calibration points is available the simple methods give far greater accuracy than is possible using polynomial regression.
