Abstract

Abstract Geographical factors can determine the planning and conduct of military action, the organization and training of the armed forces, and the choice of appropriate combat procedures. Based on these considerations, we will highlight the importance of the geographical factor in the military analysis for the planning of military operations, in the context of a comprehensive approach of the elements that constitute the operational environment. The timeliness and importance of the issues addressed are determined by the opportunity to investigate and assess the correlation and interdependencies among physical and geographical elements and the operational design, identifying specific elements of military science and art for the planning and execution of military operations.
