Abstract

Background and Significance: GnRH antagonists prevent premature luteinization by causing a rapid inhibition of endogenous LH. Low levels of LH may have a negative impact on follicular growth and oocyte development. Recent evidence suggests that GnRH antagonist cycles supplemented with hCG or recombinant LH provide comparable or improved pregnancy rates compared to r-FSH alone.
