Abstract

The article is devoted to the study of the Human Names concept and anthroponyms in English language and culture and their places in linguistics. The information on its semantic features and its function in speech are defined as well. The scientific novelty is determined by a new point of view concerning the problem of the lexical meaning of proper names that consists in the fact that the structure of the lexical meaning depends on the specific type of anthroponyms.
