Abstract

I recently described (Verdcourt 1996) a new genus of Annonaceae from NE Tanzania from somewhat sparse material. Only extremely young fruits were available2 which, however, suggested that adult fruits would prove to be long and narrow. More material has now been collected in ripe fruit which confirms this and it has been thought advisable to refigure the species more adequately showing the fruit and seed (Fig. 1). The disposition of the corolla lobes is also shown. The collectors sent some coloured prints showing this but unfortunately they are not adequate for reproduction.
