Abstract

The transition to a new technological paradigm is performed by scientific and technological development. In order to create a shift strategy to the 6th technological paradigm it is important to reveal the current state of economy and readiness of the country to the transformation. The article identified the criteria for the formation of the sixth technological paradigm and evaluated the formation of a new paradigm in Russia. The research was carried out by analyzing and synthesising information on the level of innovative development of science, industry, national economy, and education in Russia. The authors revealed the share of technological paradigms characteristic of the Russian economy, and it is shown that the dominating paradigm in the Russian economy is the 4th technological paradigm. The 6th technological paradigm is represented by 3%, consequently, the new paradigm is at the beginning.
