AbstractIn order to determine the safe evacuation time under definite condition of supermarket fire, in this paper, using numerical simulation method, the study for quantitative analysis of supermarket performance-based fire protection design, based on the heat release rate curve fended by experimentation, obtained the formula of heat release rate and time : $$ Q = \left\{ \begin{array} {ll} 0.082{t^2}kw (0 \leq t \leq 180s)\\ 2755kw (t\succ 180s).\\ \end{array} \right. $$ Based on the formula of heat release rate and time to determine the safe evacuation time is new and original in this paper, this can be used in fire protection design and fire protection performance evaluation.Keywordssupermarketperformance-basedfire protection analysis
