Abstract
This article aims to demonstrate that Gabriela Cabezón Cámara’s novel, The Adventures of China Iron, presents a community that exhibits features of the “extravagant hypothesis,” as formulated by Miguel Abensour, regarding the productive articulation between ethics and politics in Levinas. It also demonstrates the continuation of this extravagant hypothesis in Jean-Luc Marion’s argument regarding the question of love and the call.
