Abstract

“Buffalo”, Bull Lake, Pinedale; Temple Lake and Gannett Peak-Wyoming’s glacial geomorphology provides a scheme, derived largely from and near the Wind River Mountains, that is now used far beyond the provincial boundaries of the state. Although basically sound, existing controversy suggests a current need for evaluation of this chronological model, whose history gives a nice example of the nature of scientific work.
