Abstract
Bleeding and associated transfusion of blood products is a major source of morbidity and mortality following orthotopic heart transplant. In 2012, this institution implemented a novel algorithmic approach, using ROTEM and Multiplate, to bleeding management for these patients. This study sought to review the impact on postoperative blood product use.
