Abstract
The results of the statistical modelling of a shock wave in two-component inert gas mixtures employing algorithms which use weighting factors and strictly Markov models of the collision stages are compared with the results of experiments, modelling using Bird's scheme and the numerical integration of the equations of two-velocity and two-temperature gas-dynamics. The agreement obtained in the majority of cases suggests the modelling by means of algorithms which use weighting factors and strictly Markov models of the collison stages is reliable and that these algorithms are efficient.
