Abstract

The research was implemented in the field of the College of Agriculture and Forestry, University of Mosul, Iraq. The soil texture of the field is clay. In the current study, the vibration of the driver’s seat of agricultural tractors(VDS), slippage, Critical Depth(CD), and Depth Stability Ratio(DSR) was investigated during vibration and non-vibration wings of subsoiler and two penetrated angles in the soil (45° and 55°). Three tractor speeds that including 2.88, 3.6 and 4.5 km/h were considered. The results indicated significant positive data for all traits under vibrated wings of subsoiler plow comparing with non-vibrated wings. The results showed positive superiority of wings vibration in the slippage, CD, and DSR, while achieved a negative increase in VDS. However, the VDS for wings vibration remained within the measurements previously approved from ISO 2631−5 (2004) and European Parliament and Council Directive 2002/44/EC (OJ, 2002). Besides, increasing the tractor speed leads to an increase in VDS, slippage, CD, and DSR at both of the wing conditions and the penetration angles. Finally, the results indicate the superiority of non-vibration wings with tractor speed of 2.88 km/h and angle 55° to registered less VDS, while the best results achieved recorded at interactions vibration wings with tractor speed of 2.88 km/h and the angle of penetration 55° to the rest of traits.
