Abstract

To ensure more successful grouting, it is often necessary to improve the physical properties and fluidity of cement grouts by using industrial by-products such as silica fume and fly ash. This paper evaluates the use of silica fume in soil grouting. The properties of grouts with different silica fume proportions and water/solid ratios were determined, and then these grout mixtures were injected into soil samples prepared with different relative densities. Unconfined compression strength tests indicated that the use of this admixture in the grout improved the compressive strength of the grouted soil samples. It was also observed that silica fume has the important effect of increasing the soil strength because of its pozzolanic and ultra-fine structure, as the silica-fume-grouted samples were compared with cement-grouted samples. Il est toujours nécessaire d'améliorer, pour une injection réussie de sol, les propriétés de physique et de fluidité des malaxages de ciment en utilisant les produits industriels dérivés comme la fumée siliceuse et la cendre volante. Le but de cet article est de rechercher l'utilisation de la fumée siliceuse dans l'injection de sol. Dans ce travail, nous avons préparé, premièrement, Ies malaxages d'eau, de fumée siliceuse, et de ciment en proportions différentes, et puis, nous les avons injectés dans les exemplaires de sol, ayant tin caractère relative. Les résultats des exemplaires injectés, subis à un test de compression libre, ont montré que la fumée siliceuse a augmenté la solidité de compression. Nous avons donc compare les résultats des exemplaires, injectés La fumée siliceuse avec ceux des exemplaires. Injectés le ciment, et nous avons constate que la fumée siliceuse, à cause de sa finesse et de sa structure pozzolanique, joue un rôle important dans l'injection de sol.
