Abstract

The aim of this research was to determine the effect of work-family conflict and work load on job stress of female nurses in Dr Soeroto Ngawi hospital which is moderated by hardiness. The research design in this research is descriptive quantitative. The population in this study were all female nurses who have married customers.. The sampling technique in this study used "Non Probability Sampling", and the sampling method in this study was " Saturated Sample (Total Sampling) or Census”. Respondents in this study were 69 people. Data is processed through SPSS for Window and Smart Partial Least Square (SmartPLS) software.
 The results showed that 1) work-family conflict has a significant positive effect on job stress 2) work load has a significant positive effect on job stress 3) hardiness can moderate effect of work-family conflict on job stress 4) hardiness can moderate effect of work load on job stress of female nurses in Dr Soeroto Ngawi hospital.
