Abstract

The research work was aimed to investigate the effect of Tin with the addition of three different amounts (0.5,1,3) % to a Cu-14%Al-4.5Ni. alloy. The Alloys were manufactured by casting in an Induction Furnace in an Argon Atmosphere then wear and microhardness tests were applied to the Alloys with Microstructure via Optical Microscope and Scanning Electron Microscope. The Results showed a significant decrease in the Wear rate and a sharp rise in the Hardness relating to the increased percentage of Tin addition (3%) which provides promising results.
