Abstract

The deflected mode of cast-iron molds under the effect of an electric discharge in water on the item’s surface is investigated using numerical methods. It has been found that the effect of the load created by an electric discharge channel on the variations in the deflected mode of the item is substantially higher than the hydrodynamic load.
