Abstract
Objective To explore the effect of medical intervention family care on self-care ability and life quality of patients with cutaneous ureterostomy. Methods A total of 60 patients with cutaneous ureterostomy were divided into the medical intervention family care group (experimental group)and the general family care group(control group) according to the sequence of visits, 30 cases of each group. The self-care ability and life quality of patients of the two groups were evaluated by self nursing ability scale (ESCA) and comprehensive quality of life questionnaire (GQOL-74). The self-care ability, quality of life and complications before and after the intervention were compared between the two groups. Results Before the intervention, there was no statistical difference in ESCA scores between the two groups(P<0.05). After the intervention, the ESCA scores of the experimental group were higher than those of the control group in all aspects, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05). After intervention, the psychological function score, material life score, somatic function score, social function score and overall quality of life score of the experimental group were significantly higher than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05). The incidence of complications in the experimental group was significantly lower than that of the control group. And the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05). Conclusions Medical intervention family care can significantly improve the self-care ability and quality of life of patients with ureteral skin ostomy and reduce the incidence of complications. It is worthy of clinical promotion.
