Abstract
This study aims to determine the effect of incubation time to the lipase activity produced by Bacillus thuringiensis bacteria on coconut (Cocos nucifera L.) dregs. This research used explorative method with observations carried out over incubation time of 15 hours, 20 hours, 25 hours, 30 hours and 35 hours. The observation were the activity of lipase, lipase characterization and protein value of crude lipase. The result showed that the incubation time had an effect on the lipase activity with value of 2 U / ml (15 hours), 2.16 U / ml (20 hours), 2.33 U / ml (25 hours), 2, 66 U / ml (30 hours) and 2.5 U / ml (35 hours). The result characteristic of lipase showed optimum temperature and pH of 40°C and pH 7, subsequently, protein value of lipase activity were 15 hours 0.504166 mg / ml, 20 hours 0.582083 mg / ml, 25 hours 0.652083 mg / ml, 30 hours 0.703750 mg / ml, and 35 hours 0.5322915 mg / ml. The optimum protein value was reached after 30 hours of incubation.
