Abstract

the objective of this research was knowing about effectiveness of group and individual assignment during online class. Giving an assignment in group or individual from lecturer cannot be separated from lectures during online class in the science education matter at second semester. The type of this research was experiment research with subject 90 college student who has divided into two class, A class and B class, whereas A class has been given individual assignment, and group assignment for B class. This analysis using t test to know, how significant the differences between groups are. The result oft test got about 2.996 for ttest greater than ttable was 2,0141 or sig. value about 0.004<0.005. From those, it can be seen that H0was rejected if ttest > ttable, that means there is differences between group assignment and individual by college student in second semester. It can be prove that the hypothesis which is stated that was differences about giving group assignment and individual was truth, and there was a significant differences about giving group and individual assignment. Score average of individual assignment was 80,060 and 78,911 for group assignment. For respond about giving group and individual assignment, student was more comfort doing individual task.
