Abstract

Three mathematical models for a vapor condenser are derived. The first model is two-pass on the tube side, and the parameters considered, such as water fraction, velocities and temperatures are treated as functions of space variables x and z and of time. In the other two models, which are one-dimensional, the equations are solved with respect to the x and z variables separately by the additional assumption that the parameters under consideration are mean values averaged over the z and x variable, respectively.
