Abstract

Abstract Forty-two conditional lethal mutants have been located in the T2H genome by complementation tests with T4 amber mutants. Five extended host range mutants of T2H which are heat sensitive have been placed in baseplate genes by complementation tests with T2H amber mutants. In addition, a sixth host range mutant has been shown to control a tail protein by in vitro complementation with T4.
