Abstract

ABSTRACT The sedimentation volume of barium titanium oxide (BaTi03) 1n water and methylisobutylketone was determined as a function of particle size and surface-active agents. Light transmittance data in an analytical volume was used to determine a sedimentation rate constant for various particle sizes of BaTi03 in water and methylisobutylketone. The effect of a water impurity on sediment volume and settling velocity is also reported.
