Abstract

The article is devoted to analyses of the digital information competence. The article presents the positions of scientists on this problem. The components of the specialists' information competence are distinguished. In the article, the relevance of new information technologies is described in the unified educational and information space. The reasons for expanding the digital literacy and the appeal to the digital competence are determined. It is noted that the responsibility as a component of the digital competence requires the knowledge of the rules in the digital world. Four types of the digital competences are defined: information and media competence; communicative, technical, consumer competences. Particular attention is paid to the motivational component, which is related to the security of modern information and communication technologies for studying youth.
