Abstract

This study designed two types of long-afterglow pavement mixtures with high transparency bright asphalt and polyurethane as cementing materials. The photoluminescence properties of long-afterglow luminescent gravel were designed to achieve self-luminescence effect for pavement use. The optimal amount of cementitious material was determined to be 6.2% by the Marshall method, and four kinds of pavement mixtures with luminous gravel content were designed, and the optical properties and basic road properties of each mixture were evaluated. In this study, the mix ratio design of long afterglow pavement mixture was studied from the perspective of optical properties and basic road performance, which provided a new reference and idea for the development of self-luminous pavement mixture. And the conclusion of the road optical properties and basic road performance suggests the possibility of the application of the long afterglow pavement mixtures.
