Abstract
The luthier must set standards of construction based on both the choices of woods available for guitar construction and the criteria of instrumental mechanical integrity in coping with a new guitar design. The concert musician must re‐evaluate his own approach to guitar dynamics in performance, as well as instrumental balance, when a new instrument is used in ensemble and concert hall performance. A demonstration of the characteristics of a new classical guitar with and without internal microphone amplification will be given.
