Abstract

Continuing professional development should embrace all aspects of our professional life. Changes in the pattern of oral disease, developing concepts of specialisation and delivery of dental care require a flexible approach to the interface between the end of the undergraduate dental course and the early years of general professional training. This report lists a number of proposals agreed by an ad hoc working group, meeting under the auspices of the General Dental Council.
