Abstract

The relevance of the study is motivated by the need for atomic research of the idiostyle of Olga Kobylyanskaya to form a cognitive-pragmatic concept of the writer’s artistic discourse. The novelty of scientific research is due to the fact that the names of the works of small prose by Olga Kobylyanskaya, written at the turn of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, were not yet the subject of analysis. The purpose of the article is to analyze the names of the works of Olga Kobylyanskaya - ordinary signs. Research Methods. The basic methods used are general scientific methods of analysis and synthesis and linguistic ones - the method of linguistic observation, descriptive, structural. Findings. Among the names of works - ordinary characters, we single out a group motivated by the social origin of the main characters: “The Pauper”, “Aristocrat”, “Man”. The titles of the works contain an indication of the time and place of action, thus realizing the idea of a chronotope: “At St. Ivan”, “Time”, “Rustic Bank”. We single out a number of works in which the names indicate an object of admiration for the lyrical hero: “Roses”, “What I Loved”, “Poets”
