Naval Engineers JournalVolume 80, Issue 4 p. 609-615 THE COAST GUARD'S OFFSHORE LIGHTSTATION PROGRAM LIEUTENANT COMMANDER RONALD D. ROSIE U.S.C.G, LIEUTENANT COMMANDER RONALD D. ROSIE U.S.C.G THE AUTHOR: a graduate of the U. S. Coast Guard Academy in 1958, Lieutenant Commander Rosie served as first lieutenant on the CGC MINNETONKA for one year before entering engineering training. He served as an Engineering Officer aboard the CGC MINNETONKA and CGC PONTCHAR-TRAIN before entering Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute where he was graduated in 1963 with a Bachelor of Civil Engineering Degree. He then served as Industrial Manager at CG Base Seattle two years before he was transferred to the Civil Engineering Division of Coast Guard Headquarters in Washington, D.C. He served as a project manager in the Buoy Section of Signal Branch for one year before his present assignment as Acting Chief of the Power Section in the Signal Branch. LCDR Rosie has passed the Engineer-in-Training phase of the requirements for a professional engineer's license in the State of New York and is an active member of the Society of American Military Engineers.Search for more papers by this author LIEUTENANT COMMANDER RONALD D.
